Why is Recall.ai lowering prices?

We’re lowering prices to make Recall.ai accessible to more startups and companies building products around conversation data. Ultimately, lower pricing helps more teams test, launch, and scale products built on top of Recall.ai.

Breakdown of Recall.ai’s updated pricing

Recall.ai now charges $0.50 per recording hour

As of early 2026, Recall.ai has dropped prices for the Pay As You Go Plan from $0.70 per recording hour to $0.50 per recording hour. This change applies to both our Meeting Bot API and Desktop Recording SDK, which are priced at the same rate.

Recall.ai has no platform fee

We no longer charge a monthly platform fee – our usage-based pricing model means our customers only pay when they’re actively using Recall.ai. This change makes it easier for startups to build a proof of concept without a financial commitment.

Calendar API included for free

Unlike other companies, we don’t charge for our Calendar API, which connects Recall.ai with your users’ Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook accounts. This lets you automatically send meeting bots to select events on your users’ calendars, while enriching meeting recordings with calendar information like participant emails and meeting titles.

Flexible transcription pricing

To get meeting transcripts, you can use Recall.ai’s built-in transcription engine for $0.15 per recording hour. Based on your preferred balance of cost, language support, accuracy, and latency, you can also pick from one of the many transcription providers we partner with and pay them directly.

Storage and playback

You can store meeting audio, video, and transcripts for up to 7 days for free on Recall.ai’s platform. If you need to store your data for longer, we charge $0.05 per recording media hour for every additional 30 days of storage.
